Boom goes the.......Tires?

The British GP saw another page in the Pirelli F1 saga with multiple tires suddenly explode. This was caused by the tires being "misused by the teams" according to Pirelli but in all honesty it was the construction of the tire which caused it to explode. Pirelli changed the compound and construction for last weekends German GP but the question was raised about not only next years tire but in fact who will make them? With Pirelli not having a contract with F1 for 2014 the door is open for other manufacturers to try their hand at the F1 tire game. I think that if F1 wants to, they will have one or two manufacturers of tires in the field next year reminiscent of the tire wars of the early 2000's. Jean Todt would like to see Michelin be back in F1 especially with the success they are having in sportscars and their inter slick tire they have came out with and are a hit with drivers. Hankook has been rumored to be interested in F1 but denied it to the media. I would like to see Pirelli say that F1 is not for them and it was an overall failure.
